Adoption Process

All of our adult dogs are spayed/neutered and current on rabies and DHPP vaccines prior tofinalizing the adoption.

  1. Complete & Submit Adoption Application

Each adoptable dog needs and deserves a suitable permanent home, so we ask these questions in order to do an initial evaluation of the match between adopters and adoptable dogs

    Adoption Application

  2. Schedule Initial Interview

We will reach out to you as soon as we can to schedule your initial interview at a mutually agreeable time.

  3. Interview & Virtual Home Check

We'll go over your application and do a virtual home check - if any repairs or adjustments are needed we will let you know immediately.

  4. Meet & Greet

Once your application is approved we will arrange a meet & greet through the dog's foster family. Occasionally more than one meet & greet is required, depending on the dog's temperament.

  5. Application Approved

We typically recommend that you foster-to-adopt your dog to ensure it will be a good match all around. The foster-to-adopt period is typically a month - some dogs fit in right away, but others need more time to fully decompress. When you're ready to finalize the adoption we will send you an adoption agreement and and invoice for your adoption fee.

If you are adopting a puppy you will need to foster-to-adopt until the puppy is spayed or neutered. A 50% deposit is required prior to the puppy coming home with you.
